National Museum of Ireland - Turlough House - Irish Folklore Collection

At the Museum of Country Life , you can immerse yourself in the lives of Irelands rural ancestors. Featuring Audio visual displays as well as working models you can experience the folklore, crafts and traditions of an Ireland which had not changed for centurys.

	Lifestyles which were established for several hundred years came to an end well into living memory, and at the museum, amidst furniture and fittings, the tools they used in working the land and the clothes and textiles they wore, you can reach out and touch those vanished lives.

The Museum of Country Life is part of the National Museum of Ireland and is located in Turlough Park, Castlebar, County Mayo.
